Narendra Dabholkar gunned down in Pune
Anti-superstition activist Narendra Dabholkar, founder of the Maharashtra Andhashraddha Nirmoolan Samiti, was gunned down by bike-borne assailants today morning in Pune. Police say Dabholkar was shot at from a close range by two unidentified youths at 7.20 am on Omkarweshwar bridge near Cosmos Bank and the assailants fled the place via Rasta Peth Road.
Dabholkar had taken on many babas including Asaram Bapu, the latest such incident being against Asaram Bapu this Holi in Nagpur when the baba and his followers played a colourful, wet Holi with the help of water tankers brought from the Nagpur Municipal Corporation at the Kasturchand Park grounds.
